Cardada Impianti Turistici
Cardada and Cimetta offer a mountain bike route with unrivalled and unique views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains, which you can enjoy whilst cycling.
Cyclists can reach Cardada (1,340 m above sea level) by cable car in just 5 minutes.
From there, the route continues by bike to Alpe Cardada, where Bike Trail 397 begins; this is followed by a descent into Val Resa, on to Brione s/Minusio and back to Orselina or Locarno.
From 2026, the Bassa di Cardada trail will also be added, offering MTB enthusiasts a varied descent with flowing sections, technical stretches, optional obstacles and natural terrain between Cimetta (1,670 m above sea level) and Alpe Cardada.
Whether you’re in top shape and sporty, looking for new challenges or simply a lover of healthy cycle rides in the countryside – Cardada Cimetta is certainly the right place for you.
Cyclists on mountain bikes or lightweight, low-speed e-mountain bikes can use both the cable car and the chairlift.
